Hate speech: Owaisi to surrender before Andhra police today

Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has returned from London to surrender to the Hyderabad police today.

Owaisi is being accused of delivering hate speeches against a particular community.

Owaisi has asked for permission to meet the police with exemption of appearance as he was undergoing treatment in London.

Reports said that there were three FIR registered against Owaisi, two at Adilabad and Nizamabad districts, a third was filled by Osmania University police, allegedly used inflammatory language against a particular community.

Now fresh complaints against him over that speech continued to pour in for the same.

Mr Owaisi was summoned notice to produce on January 4 and directed to appear before police in Adilabad district on January 7, as well as the Nizambad II Town police on January 8.

Thundered of MIM supporters welcomed Owaisi, the Representative of Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency while he arrived in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, BJP who protested at various places against Owaisi’s arrival has called for a shutdown in Nirmal town of the district on Monday where Owaisi meeting will be with police.
