Hike in railway fare likely: Pawan Kumar Bansal

According to latest political news, the newly named Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has indicated a likely hike in railway fare. The new railway minister said on Monday that he would work on improving the financial as well as physical condition of the railway of the country.

Talking to media, Pawan Kumar Bansal said, “If fare will be increased, then it will be for providing better services to the passengers.”

Further, Mr. Bansal said, “The improvement in services will make way for an increase in fare.”

Meanwhile, the railway is going through financial crisis and the minister is all set to ensure that all services are viable propositions.

Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said, “The motive is not to commercialise rail services but to make it financially viable. We have to ensure that the vast infrastructure of the railways functions smoothly.”
