Pakistan beats Australia 150x150 ICC World Twenty20: Pakistan beats Australia by 32 runsThe Pakistan cricket team has recorded a superb win over Australia in Super Eights match played at Colombo, Sri Lanka today.

Pakistan won the match by 32 runs and now have fair chances to enter the semi-finals, but, India vs South Africa match would be crucial one for both India and Pakistan.

South Africa is already out, and they will play for pride, but if Indian cricket team want to make their into semi-finals than India have to record a big win over South Africa so that they can improve their run rate.

Pakistan charged Australian batsman with their spin attack, as captain Hafeez and Raza Hasan took two wickets each. Saeed Ajmal was the pick of the bowlers taking three wickets for just 17 runs in 4-overs.

Earlier, Australian captain won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nasir Jamshed played a good knock of 55 runs and Kamran Akmal added much needed 32 runs and Pakistan scored 149 runs in 20 overs.

Batting second, Australia lost both the openers early, both Warner and Watson on 8 runs each.

However, Michael Hussey played good cricket and made 54 runs for his tema but that was not enough and Australian managed only 117 runs in 20-overs.

Australian captain Bailey said, “Pakistan outplayed us. The bal turned more, they used spin against us well. You want your top order to do the majority of the scoring. The challenge will be to get that form back in the semis.”

Pakistani captain Hafeez said, “I’m grateful to see the effort put in by the boys. We got the total we wanted, Raza Hasan was brilliant.”

Man-of-the-Match winner Raza Hasan from Pakistan said, “I’m really happy at the moment as it’s my first big tournament. Everybody gives me confidence. Ee knew we had to try hard.”
