Independence Day: Four bomb blasts rock Manipur

As per today breaking news, four bombs rocked in lineup in the northeastern India state Manipur when all were celebrating 66th Independence Day.

“There have been four roadside blasts of moderate to low intensity, three in and around (the state capital) Imphal and one in Thoubal district,” a police source told reporters.

Four blasts were exploded in a series within two hours in today morning; however there is no report of casualties but four persons reported to be injured, admitted in local hospital and suffering a critical condition.

As per official sources, at 8 pm today morning, the first bomb was blast at ground of interior Thoubal district, near the district headquarters, while three bombs plotted near the capital complex: Mahabali Temple complex, Sagolband’s busy road and third one Minuthong bridge on Imphal river in the capital complex.

The explosion location was just two km away from the ground where Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh was giving his Independence day’s speech.

Police said that after the explosions, all the exit ways were blocked in wake of preventing the insurgents. However they have searched many near by areas, but no one was arrested.
