According to latest news, Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Tuesday showed his disappointment over the Indian political parties giving tickets to people with criminal records and he said that India has become a land of scams and slums.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “The country has become a land of scams and slums and it is ironical that just for vote bank, political parties are giving tickets to those who have criminal cases against them.”
Meanwhile, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was addressing to people who had come to attend the programme organized by The Art of Living and Delhi Police to change their lives with the help of meditation.
Further, he said, “There are 220 parliamentarians with criminal charges. The criminality and corruption can be changed with serenity and sanity which comes through spirituality”
He said that Indian politician and parties had to keep their country first instead of their interests. He said, “The face of Indian democracy will change if there is sacrifice on the part of political leaders.”
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “Through meditation we are trying to bring positive change in the lives of these rowdy sheeters who can overcome their ill habits.”
Meanwhile, around 750 offenders registered in 16 police stations in east Delhi that they have attended the meditation sessions organised by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s The Art of Living.
