Captain of the Indian cricket team MS Dhoni has won the toss and decided to bat first in the first ODI against England played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on January 11.
However, Indian team has lost their last three-match ODI series against Pakistan by 1-2, but there are hoping to start a new game and do well. On the other hand, England captain Alastair Cook earlier said in an interview, if they win series in India beating India, this will prove that England is No.1.
Now, out-of-form opener Virender Sehwag is not included in the team and local hero Cheteshwar Pujara in the squad to take on England in the first three games.
However, captain MS Dhoni said that there are low chances of Cheteshwar Pujara to play in the first ODI against England. One change in the Indian team, Ashok Dinda comes back into the team for Shami Ahmed, who started his ODI career against Pakistan.
Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh will give strong help in the middle order for team India, and opener Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli will get one more chance to prove his form with bat.
Joe Root is added into the final playing 11 of the team England today.
