BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari who put all efforts for his reappointment as party President for second term, seeming that time is going to be more difficult for him.
After BJP Senior leader LK Advani’s huge opposition for Gadkari’s second term as President, party leader Mahesh Jethmalani on Monday threatened to contest for Presidential election if Nitin Gadkari was given a second chance, report said.
It further said that as like of Advani, Jethmalani is also against Gadkari re-election as the party chief because he is facing charges from Income Tax Department in connection of his alleged dubious funding of Purti Group, his business company.
Jethmalani has denied this sudden contesting announcement and said that the whole report of his filing nomination for Post is not true, source said.
Meanwhile, Jethmalani who had quit the BJP National Executive in 2012, has now joined the league of BJP leaders who in protest against of Gadkari.
Reports are also that a RSS leader, Suresh Soni, is said to be opposed to Nitin Gadkari’s candidature and seeking to meet with Advani.
Beside the outrage against Gadkari’s nomination as part chief is still going, but reports are that Gadkari’s resumption for next three years is likely to be fixed.
The nomination for post will be filled on 23 January and also on the same date the declaration of President will be made.
