As per the latest cricket news, West Indies all set to take on England in the first of a three-Test match series at Lord’s on Thursday with the tourists’ batting likely to determine the course of the match.
Now, it would be interesting to see that weather condition will support seam bowlers or not, as they have for much of the early part of the English season.
The top order players from West Indies may face problems to provide the kind of start that will help improve on a record of just two wins in 30 Tests since beating England in Jamaica in 2009.
In the meantime, much focus would be on West Indies top cricketer and world No. 1 batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who has performed many a rescue mission for the West Indies.
On the other hand, Chanderpaul, 37-year-old left-hander, normally prefers to bat no higher than five in the order.
The problem with the West Indies team is that their star performer Chanderpaul often comes in with the team already in trouble.
