As per the latest reports, the all time lovable Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who brings smile to million-dollar of her fans allover the world, was “thrilled” to launch her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum here Wednesday.
However, the Bollywood diva is the latest Indian film star to join the A-list line-up at the Madame Tussauds wax museum, which also includes statues of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
During the launch her wax statue, the actress said, “I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It’s incredible just how detailed the figure is – they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes.”
In the meantime, the Bollywood actress, 44-years-old, has worked in some all time hit films such as Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Sajan, Beta, Dil, Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Devdas.
In addition, she is now the sixth Bollywood celebrity to be honoured here at Madame Tussauds and only the third actress after Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Madhuri Dixit also helped in the making of her wax statue from the start. She took part in a sitting in Mumbai where sculptors captured a catalogue of reference photographs and hundreds of precise measurements to create the statue.
The actress also donated the exquisite pink sari donned by her wax statue, which took four months to make at a cost of 150,000 pounds.
The statue also has around its neck a heavy neckpiece, and the look is complete with the perfect smile that Madhuri is known for.
