Bollywood famous pop singer Mika Singh once again in air of controversy for violating the custom rules, allegedly carrying Indian as well as foreign currency beyond permissible limit, according to reports.
Mika was detained and arrested at the Mumbai International Airport on Wednesday under FEMA violation, while he arrived from Bangkok by a private airline.
However, after intercepting by officials for nearly two hours at airport, the singer was later released on bail, as per sources reports.
Around $12,000 and Rs. 3 lakh in cash were found in possession during Mika’s luggage checking, a senior Customs official said.
The 35-year-old Mika failed to give proper reasons of why such huge amount of currency in his possession, moreover the signer was booked for FEMA violation.
