Nokia India 150x150 Nokia bring paid content for Bharti, Vodafone customersOffering a treat to Vodafone and Airtel consumers, Nokia allow them to download worldwide content from its store and pay in form of monthly mobile phone bills, or from the pre-paid balance.

Nokia India Mobile Company announced partnerships with Bharti Airtel and Vodafone mobile operators to offer billing solutions from the Nokia Store to their customers.

“We believe our partnership with Vodafone and Airtel will provide more and more consumers easy access to paid content on the Nokia Store. This is also a significant step for our developer partners,” Nokia India marketing director Viral Oza told reporters.

Both Vodafone and Bharti welcomed this deal, Bharti Airtel’s chief marketing officer N Rajaram said, “This partnership will strengthen our efforts to increase usage of mobile Internet services.”

Hitting more than 60 million downloads a month globally; Nokia has over one lakh pieces of content that users purchase only via credit cards.

Termed this partnership as lots of benefits for their consumers, Mr Sanjoy Mukerji, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India, said, “This would also offer significant monetisation opportunities to developers and galvanise local content development.”

Beside operator billing process with reasonable price range, telecom operators’ Indian customers would also offer attractive and valuable purchase opportunity like ‘in-application’ billing solutions.

It will allow consumers to purchase digital content directly from within the application’s interface and have full control over the content they purchase.
