Pakistan Federal Investigation Agency requested to the Director of Interpol to issue a Red corner notice to bring back 68-year-old former military ruler Pervez Musharraf to face trial in connection with the murder of Benazir Bhutto.
Pakistan govt. has amidst tight its actions to arrest and brought back Musharraf from self-exile who is at present living outside the country.
Now difficult time has started for Musharraf to get rid off from the Pakistan govt. as he has been declared a “proclaimed offender” by an anti-terrorism court being accused of involvement in the assassination.
As per result, the order of to seize Musharraf’s assets and freeze his bank accounts has been already directed to authorities.
However last week the government said that it would bring Musharraf back to face trial for his alleged failure to provide security to former premier Benazir Bhutto at the time of her assassination in 2007 despite being aware of threats to her life.
Meanwhile the Interpol representative will forward the requested application to Interpol headquarters in France, and after that actual work of being detained Musharraf from anywhere in the world will have started and produce in front of court for trial.
