In the early Sunday’s morning, eight coaches of Mumbai-Ferozpur Punjab Mail has derailed at around 3.30 am near Rohtak and totally damaged railway track, but there is no report of any causalities.
At least 25 people injured by this accident and admitted to the city’s PGI hospital. Medical personnel and ambulances are present on the ground for the injured who’re traveling.
Talking to media, Anil Saxena, Public Relations Officer, Railways, said, “The Railways Minister himself spoke to the driver as well as the hospital authorities this morning. The Railways will bear the cost of treatment.”
“The traffic between Delhi and Rohtak has been affected; our teams have reached the spot and are trying to clear the tracks,” he further added.
However rescue operations have launched, buses have on ground at the spot into service so that the passengers can easily travel, but still there is no clue regarding the cause of derailed. The coaches are being examined by authorities.
The ill-fated bogies that derailed include sleeper coaches from S-5 to S-10, apart from the guard-cum-luggage van, while 300 metres of railway track has been damaged but no casualties or major injuries have been reported, source said.
