Punjab Polls: CM Parkash Singh Badal to fight brother Gurdas
As per the latest reports on the Punjab Polls, there are just 2 more weeks to go for the Punjab assembly elections and differences between the Badal’s family is well disclosed to everyone.
News reports have said that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal is slanting against his younger brother Gurdas.
Badal senior’s separated nephew Manpreet Singh Badal who earlier left Akalis and made his own party , is now campaigning against Badal government in the state.
Though, the Punjab Chief Minister has laughed off Manpreet’s predictions. Parkash Singh Badal has become the state CM four times.
The opposition party in the state, Congress, is monitoring the matter very closely.
While talking to media, State Congress President for Punjab Amarinder Singh said, “Manpreet’s background is an Akali. His father is the kingpin, who has been conducting all his parkash singh badal’s elections. So for 40 yrs he has only dealt with the Akalis, not the Congress. This group which is breaking away is breaking away from the Akalis. So it won’t affect the Congress. It will only affect them.”
In the meantime, the ground is all set for Badal v/s Badal contest with the stakes clearly high for the Shiromani Akali Dal.
