Raj Thackeray MNS 251x300 Raj Thackeray releases candidate list, want to be King not KingmakerBy taking a written examination as a different way, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has published list of selected candidates for the upcoming civic polls on Mumbai.

More than 80 per cent of the candidates have selected for the four major corporations Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nashik and this has done to become the party in power, MNS chief Raj Thackeray indicated that party has only one target — the BMC(Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation).

During the announcement of the list of candidates of 208 out of 227 wards, Thackeray said: “Our target is neither the Sena, BJP and RPI combine nor the united front of Congress, NCP and Dalit groups. Our target is the BMC.”

With a full force of his power, Thackeray said, “We will not be the king-maker this time, we will be the king.”

And the party has decided to give ticket to Vanita Ghag from ward number 34 again for contesting except six of the current sitting corporators in the BMC.

In this polling exam, the relatives and wives and husbands of sitting corporators and MLAs that lose their seats to reservation have also included into the list of selected candidates.

Ticket has given to the Magathane MLA Pravin Darekar’s brother Prakash Darekar. Shilpa Chougule, wife of sitting corporator Shirish Chougule; Mangal Parmeshwar Kadam, wife of sitting corporate Tukaram Parmeshwar Kadam; and Dilip Lande, husband of sitting corporator Shaila Lande, all are enlisted for contesting election for Mumbai.

At the end by apologizing for those who were not selected, Thackeray said, “We are apologized to those who are not selected and enlisted. We will also be releasing the mark sheets of selected candidates.”
