The Supreme Court lawyer and senior party leader Ram Jethmalani has now targets senior BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj. Jethmalani was suspended from the BJP party on Sunday.
Jethmalani wrote a fresh letter to BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Monday,a dn he hit out at Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj for their role in the appointment of new CBI chief.
Earlier, Ram Jethmalani asked the BJP President Nitin Gadkari to resign from his position after the allegations of corruption and now he targets Swaraj and Jaitley over their letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking the appointment of new CBI chief.
Jethmalani said that the advocates of Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar, who was a rival to new CBI chief Ranjit Sinha , were Arun Jaitley’s juniors.
In his latter to Gadkari, Jethmalani wrote, “You are determined to drag down the party along with yourself.”
It is said that BJP has issued a showcause notice to Jethmalani to explain his stand and why he should not be expelled from BJP for 6-years.
Talking to media, BJP leader Ananth Kumar said, “The parliamentary board discussed the anti-party actions of Mr Ram Jethmalani. The parliamentary party found appropriate the decision of party president Nitin Gadkari to suspend Jethmalani for his indiscipline and anti-party activities.”
