The master blaster cricketer from the Indian Cricket Team, Sachin Tendulkar might have to wait to get the Bharat Ratna award, but the cricketer and so called ‘God Of Cricket’ will soon be and MP.

This is going to be the first time when an active cricketer has been nominated for the MP seat in Rajya Sabha. The central government of India has nominated Sachin Tendulkar veteran Bollywood actress Rekha and spunky business icon Anu Aga.

Further, with the nomination of Sachin Tendulkar to the Rajya Sabha took the political parties like a surprise. Now, this would be interesting to see that how an active cricketer like Sachin Tendulkar would be able to play the role of MP as most of the time he plays for the country and tours with team to play cricket out of the country.

However, there is no news of Sachin Tendulkar retirement from the international cricket.

On the other hand, senior government leaders, including minister of state for parliamentary affairs Rajiv Shukla, were in touch with the cricketer as to accept the Rajya Sabha nomination.

Meanwhile, the calculation appeared correct as no one, including the Opposition party BJP and others, had anything but a welcome for the immensely popular cricket superstar.

Reports have said that cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took his time to take this decision to enter Rajya Sabha.

Reports state that almost a week ago, Sachin conveyed his acceptance to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. The news of his nomination, along with that of Bollywood actress Rekha and business icon Anu Aga, came into light when Sachin with his wife Anjali came to meet Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath in the company of Rajiv Shukla.
