The one of the most awaited film of the year, Agent Vinod, may have not got the expected opening at the box office but the filmmaker have said that the film needs just Rs 30 crore to hit the expected target.

It wouldn’t be wrong if we call this film as a dream project of Saif Ali Khan, who worked with his love-lady Kareena Kapoor.

The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan, and lead actor, Saif Ali Khan playing a role of a RAW agent while co-star Kareena is a Pakistani spy in the film.

The film was released allover yesterday and getting mixed reviews from the viewers as well as experts.

Talking to media, Producer Dinesh Vijan said, “The film has been made for Rs50 crores and 12 crores went for marketing totalling to 62 crores. Out of which we have already recovered 50% as music and satellite rights have been sold for around 30 crores.”

Further, Mr. Vijan said, “The task ahead is to make around Rs30 crores which is a very achievable figure.”

Meanwhile, actor Saif Ali Khan along with Vijan has launched a production hose called Illuminati Films, and ‘Agent Vinod’ is the second film under this banner.

Vijan said, “Agent Vinod has been the biggest from our production house. Love Aaj Kal was our first film and we shot it in three continents. On the other hand, this has been filmed in 12 countries and each schedule came with its own set of problems. The possibility of things going wrong in a love story compared to an action story is 1:10. We are proud of the final product that Sriram has delivered.”

According to him, “The opening of the film is very critical and they are usually backed by huge promotions. The first three days it is a producer’s film.”

He further said that from Monday onwards, Agent Vinod will be the film becomes a director’s film.

On the other hand, if we talk about the review of the film. It is mixed from viewers as well as experts. Some likes the film but some are not much happy with the performance of Agent Vinod.
