Samsung launches Quad-Core Exynos Chip For Next-Gen Galaxy Smartphone

Samsung Exynos 300x215 Samsung launches Quad Core Exynos Chip For Next Gen Galaxy SmartphoneIn the complex technical market, Samsung, known for its stylish look and high accessibility is the one company that covering all lines of products in the market segments, marked the 300 million unit sale for the first time in a year.

With lining chip based processor, the company on Thursday unveiled a new 1.4-GHz Exynos 4 Quad mobile processor chip for its next generation host Smartphone.

Based on ARM’s low-power Cortex A9 design structure, Exynos 4 Quad is Samsung’s first quad-core processor to be made via its efficient HKMG high processing technology that improved the accessibility of new chip in double amount of processing capabilities.

Its main competition is with Qualcomm and Texas Instruments chip maker and name of Nvidia’s new quad-core Tegra 3 mobile processor that launched in November is also in the list of competitors.

Exynos’s host Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Smartphone is set to be launched in May, along with other devices. The 32 nm High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) processing technology based chip processor that be installed in Smartphone would completely reduce its workload, improving performance.

Preferring the low power consumption, the quad core having four separate core , will prove a multi-task processor for users at fast speeds as by one core users can enjoy Video streaming, 3D games or video editing tools, while other cores can do backspace work like update apps, connect to the web, or scan for viruses.

All work will have done without compromising device’s performance, on basis of additional a per-core dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) technology that helps the core of chip to back up the power at time of heavy workloads.

Taehoon Kim, vice president of System LSI marketing in Samsung’s Device Solutions unit, said in a statement, The Exynos has multitasking abilities “Since all the cores must share a single battery, the power management and efficiency in the limited battery capacity are indispensable for mobile computing devices.”
