West Indies recorded a superb win against Sri Lanka, beating them by 36 runs in the finals of ICC World Twenty20 finals played at Colombo’s Premadasa Stadium.

The West Indian team beats Sri Lankan team by 36 runs and wins the ICC World Twenty20 World Cup for the first time. However, Sri Lanka once again lost in the finals

ICC World Twenty20: West Indies beats England by 15 runs
The top ranked team England had lost their match against the West Indies team here played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
West Indies won the match by 15 runs and it was the last match for the World Twenty20 Super Eight group.
Earlier, West Indies captain won the toss and elected to bat first. His decision soon proved right as both the openers playing short allover the ground.
