GSAT 10 150x150 India’s heaviest satellite GSAT 10 launched successfullyAccording to latest news, country’s advanced communication satellite GSAT-10 was today successfully launched on board Ariane-5 rocket from Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana.

It is said in reports that the GSAT-10 is designed for a life period of around 15-years and is expected to be operational by November and starts working, Direct-To-Home and radio navigation services.

The heaviest satellite GSAT-1o weights around 3,400 kg and it is built by Bangalore-headquartered Indian Space Research Organisation [ISRO]. Read more

ISRO 150x150 Countdown begins for 100th Indian rocket missionThe 51-hour countdown for the 100th mission of the Indian space agency, slated for Sep 9, began Friday at 6.51 a.m. at the Sriharikota satellite launch centre in Andhra Pradesh, around 80 km from here, an official said.

Carrying French and Japanese satellites, an Indian rocket – Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) – will blast off at 9.51 a.m. Sunday. Read more
