According to latest news, the International Cricket Council [ICC] has announced to launch an investigation into match-fixing allegations on International cricket umpires made by an Indian television channel.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Sunday announced details of the umpire and match referee appointments for the group stage of the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup beginning Sep 18 in Sri Lanka.
The match referees’ responsibilities throughout the tournament will be shared between Ranjan Madugalle and Jeff Crowe while Graeme La Brooy of the ICC Panel of Regional Referees, will be the match referee for Sep 21 and 23 matches in Pallekele before travelling to Galle to oversee the women’s World T20 group stage of the event which will take place from Sep 26 to Oct 1. Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal, who was ommitted by International Cricket Council (ICC) from the shortlist for Test player of the year, has moved up two places to replace team mate Mohammad Hafeez as the No.1 in the player rankings for ODI bowlers.
Saeed was the highest wicket-taker in the series against Australia. He picked 10 wickets at an economy rate of 3.41 with an average of 9.9 in the series. His overall rating of 759 is his career-best. Read more
As per the latest reports, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that it will toughly look into the allegations that Indian bookmakers are fixing the results of English county matches as well as international ODIs.
The decision was taken after the fresh report released by Britain’s Sunday Times surfaced match fixing cases.
The Sunday Times posted in an articles saying “English cricket in bung scandal.” The newspaper also said that it had strong proofs that bookies offer huge amount of money to player to throw part or all of international matches, it also said that last year’s ICC World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan was fixed.
The newspaper reveals that one of Delhi based bookmaker said that English county cricket was a good new market, he said, “It involved low-profile matches with scant monitoring. That’s why good money can be made there without any hassle.” Read more
