According to latest news, the BCCI has today announced that the Sun TV has won the bid with a 85.05 per year bid to replace the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League [IPL].
It is said in reports that Sun TV won the bid for the Hyderabad franchise. The BCCI has placed a base price of Rs 300 crore for the new IPL team.
Earlier, the Deccan Chargers were was ruled out of the IPL teams and therefore new IPL team is announced for 12 different regions. Read more
The BCCI has today revealed a tender to look out for a new IPL team after the termination of Deccan Chargers from the Indian Premier League [IPL].
In an advertisement published in a leading newspaper, the BCCI said, “Under this invitation to tender, the winning bidder will be granted the right to own and operate a new team, which will compete in the IPL in each year from and including 2013 onwards, and will have the opportunity (if applicable and subject to qualification) to compete in each and any CLT20 which is staged from 2013 onwards.” Read more

According to latest cricket news, the IPL team Deccan Chargers has been sold to a Mumbai-based real estate company, Kamla Landmarc by the Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited.
The declaration was made by Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited by the NSE in a filing today.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai-based Kamla Landmarc is owned by Ramesh Jain and the company operates in construction of residential and commercial projects. Read more
