Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi can be tried for 2002 violence: Amicus curiae

In a shock to Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, Supreme Court directed its Amicus curiae Raju Ramachandran’s report on the post-Godhra 2002 riots.

It held that Narendra Modi can be offence for urging enmity among different groups, strongly allow Hindus to express their anger after Godhra incident in which more than 1,200 people were killed. Read more

From last month, govt. decided to ban on cotton exports. But a huge protest had been made by traders as this would hamper the domestic supply of country.

Gujarat Riots: Supreme Court to hear SIT report

Today, final report of SIT over 2002 Gujarat Communal riots, will be heard by a local court.

As per directions by the Supreme Court, Special Investigation Team (SIT) had handed over to investigate over all matter and filed a report.

The action had been taken on the complaint filed by Setalvad and Zakia Jaffery, widow of former Congress MP Ehsaan Jaffrey.

The complaint was related to Gulburg Society case where 69 people were killed during the communal riots in 2002. Read more

SIT issues clean chit to Narendra Modi in Gulbarg case

As per the CBI report, The Special Investigation Team who was investigating against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over 2002 communal riots in Gujarat, have not enough evidence to prove his alleged inaction in riots. And this is expected that SIT is trying to escape Modi.

The Gulbarg case which directed by the Supreme Court to SIT for making final report, is going to blew a big controversy.

The special committee of Supreme Court, SIT who had submitted a wrapped report on Wednesday, in a magisterial court in Ahmedabad, has not commented on CBI’s allegation.

Now a local court is expected to go into amid reports that Chief Minister Narendra Modi has been given a clean chit.

Under the Gulberg Housing society riots that triggered on 27, February, 2002 Godhra train carnage, 1,200 people were killed. Read more
