As expressing a huge opposition from NON Congress parties over the operationalisation of NCTC, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal demanded for restructuring Constitution.

During the CMs’ conference on Saturday, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Narender Modi, Prem Kumar Dhuman, Nitish Kumar and J. Jailalita, all supported Mr. Badal, claiming that the Centre is trying to keeping power left out from the hands of state govt. by proposing the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). Read more

NCTC 300x222 NCTC: UPA Govt wins battle in Rajya SabhaFinally defeated UPA Govt. won its toughest battle in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday by margin of 105 members’ votes over the violent issue of National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC).

The contest over NCTC resulted the defeat of BJP and Left Party’s amendments that followed by them on motion of thanks to President Pratibha Patil’s address to the two houses of parliament.

Shocking fact was that Trinamool Congress MPs who were much critic this issue were not participate in the voting on NCTC as like in Lok Sabha on Monday too. Read more

President Pratibha Patil’s speech in Parliament

Indian President Pratibha Patil was booed in parliament during delivered her speech to the Joint Sitting of Parliament because of multiple interruptions made by the opposition.

While she revealed plans regarding future of the government, the opposition disrupts her last address, raising their voices in form of disapproval on several issues.

Even BJP, the opposition party has described her speech as “lacklustre”. As per them, President’s speech that hoped to be uneventful had neither any new inspirations nor direction about the challenges to federalism. Read more
