Petrol prices up by Rs 7.50, Mamata Banerjee unhappy
Threatening the effect of Inflation rate, the Oil companies have hiked petrol prices by Rs 7.50 per litre and its effect has to seen from Wednesday midnight.
State-owned oil firms, those earlier asked govt. for giving consultation to bear the past huge loses, raised the petrol price by Rs 6.28 per litre excluding local sales tax or VAT, while in Delhi the hike price is gone upto Rs 7.50 per litre adding 20 per cent VAT,, being applied all nearby states such as Punjab, Haryana, UP and other. Government to free Diesel Price, no proposal for LPG
Govt. is playing the double game with issue of “diesel price” as at one side, it announced to take diesel price in principle as per market rates as need of people, but on another it is going to put the hike diesel price impact on common man.
“Government has, in principle, agreed to make the prices of diesel market determined …There is no proposal at present to fully deregulate cooking gas price” minister of state for finance Namo Narain Meena said about the in principal decision that was taken in June last year. Read more
