On Monday, Delhi Police filed four cases against the mob who turned violent during the protests over the Dlehi gangrape of 23-years-old girl on 16 Dec night in a moving bus in the national capital.
Meanwhile, one of the cases was filed against former Army Chief VK Singh and yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
It is said in reports that VK Singh and Baba Ramdev have been booked by the Delhi Police under charges of rioting and causing damage to public property. Read more
On Sunday, people were protest against rape and other crimes against women in the national capital, but they were lathicharged as some sections of the crowd turned violent at India Gate.
However, many people were injured during the lathicharged which also includes women protestors. Further, the Delhi Police also used water cannons and tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Read more
The Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and former Indian Army Chief VK Singh on Sunday clashed with Delhi Police at the Jantar Mantar.
The former army chief VK Singh and Baba Ramdev were trying to march towards India Gate, the epicentre of protests against gangrape of a young girl last Sunday. Read more
