Telenor partners with India’s Lakshdeep under fresh JV

The Norway’s Telenor today announced to being signed a new Indian Telewings joint venture with its new partner Lakshdeep Investments & Finance Pvt. Ltd.

The newly set up entity of Indian Telewings Communications by replacement of Unitech with Lakshdeep, Telenor ready to enter in a bid for new mobile telephone licenses, for which source said, the company has already fulfill all the eligibility criteria with submission of an application for prequalification. Telenor, Unitech agrees to settle Uninor JV Telecom Dispute

Over a long domestic as well as international legal dispute and claims on ownership, the Norwegian firm ASA Telenor and Indian major Unitech has reached a settlement over Indian telecommunications joint venture telecom services provider Uninor.

Telenor which has 67.25 per cent stake is exiting the joint venture and will pay Unitech Ltd. a “nominal” amount for assets of Unitech Wireless. Read more

Swipe Telecom rolls-out ‘India’s first 3D tablet’

The US-based company, Swipe Telecom has recently announced to roll-out of tablets in India, including the ‘India’s first 3D tablet’.

Swipe Tab X745 has been launched in India with the price range of Rs 5,999 to Rs 6,999, and the one with phone facility will cost Rs 8,999.
