Software pioneer, John McAfee was admitted into the hospital of Guatemala with heart problems, just hour after his asylum bid was rejected by Guatemala’s officials and finalized his deportation to Belize over a murder probe.
While, a government doctor who examined him said as per reports that McAfee’s heart rhythm and blood pressure were normal and appeared to be suffering from high stress.
The 67-year-old US computer software pioneer had been run away from Belize authorities who wanted to questioning to McAfee about the killing of a fellow American expatriate, Gregory Faull in Belize on November 11.
On 4 December, he was in Guatemala’s capital and after a day, Guatemalan authorities took him into custody on accusations of entering the country illegally in wake of escaping from Belize Police persecution.
On Thursday night, McAfee had taken from a hospital to the detention center. McAfee who put his last effort for asylum in Guatemala has failed as court rejected his bid. And now has filed a request for an injunction with Guatemala’s Supreme Court, reports said.
More twist raised to saga and still no one know what efforts of investigators in Belize has put for questioning McAfee about killing his fellow.
If the founder of computer security software, McAfee is deported, the Belize authorities could take him in custody for 48 hours without charges for questioning upon his return.
