Promising to make a grand entry in tablet market, the home company, Zync has launched a 3G tablet called Zync Z-999 Plus tablet in India that is available with the price tag of Rs 11,990.
However, Zync Z-999 Plus is the successor of company’s Zync Z990 model, provides Indian customers a well performer of tablet market, running on Google’s Android 4.0 ICS OS.
“We were the first players to launch a low cost tablet on Android 4.0 a few months ago and are constantly working on innovating by adding more features to match the varied needs and lifestyles of consumers. The response from our customers base for our earlier models Z909 Plus, Z990 and the Z990 Plus has been outstanding and we are catering to the student community and educational institutions at large,” Ashish Garg, Director of Zync Global Pvt. Ltd. told reporters while launching the device.
Reports said, adding one more in its portfolio, Z999 Plus, the company offers a device that is powered by 1.5 GHz, single core ARM Cortex A8 CPU and has a 7-inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800×480 pixels.
The 3G tablet, featuring 3G calling with SIM support for 3G connectivity, sports an Internal 3G modem with Wi-Fi – 802.11b/g/n, 512MB of RAM with a Mali 400 GPU, a HDMI port, USB OTG for connecting USB pen drives, 8GB of memory with microSD support and a 4,200 mAh battery.
On part of imaging, the new 7 inch touch screen tablet has a 2-megapixel camera at the back and 0.3-megapixel VGA front camera.
Beside it, Google Play Store, Browser, Google Maps, Skype, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook and many more apps are also preinstalled in it.
Moreover, no indication has been given by company regarding the up-gradation of device with Android latest version, Jelly Bean, but it has been said that this will surely stand on the expectation of Indian customers with good build in quality unlike its predecessor Z990.
