It is said in latest reports that the health condition of veteran actor of Bollywood, AK Hangal is very critical and he was admitted to Asha Parekh hospital in Juhu on August 18.

Talking to media, his son Vijay said that AK Hangal has been told that ‘it is just a matter of time’. AK Hangal is 98-years-old.

His son told media that the actor was taken to the hospital after he suffered a fall at home. Vijay said, “He broke his hip bone and surgery cannot be done at his age.”

He further said that Hangal was initially put on ventilator support. He added, “However, doctors told me that it would not help much, so I took the decision to remove it.”

“My father has been without ventilator support since August 18 and is fighting it out; the spirit is there but his body is not supporting him,” said Vijay.

Meanwhile, the actor was facing financial problems for a long time and had been fighting with asthma and kidney problems.

AK Hangal acted in more than 200 films and well remembered for his roles in films like Rahim Chacha in Sholay and Bipinlal Pandey in Namak Haraam.
