Anna Hazare to hold rally in Patna today for farmers

According to latest political news, social activist and anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare will be holding a rally in Patna, Bihar today to start a farmers’ movement.

It is said in news that the farmers’ movement will then be extended to other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Karnataka over the next year.

Further, former Army Chief VK Singh and Team Anna member Kiran Bedi will also join Anna Hazare in Patna today in the rally.

Talking to media, Anna said after the failure of farmers groups to combine together and it has now targeted to neglect of agriculture sector by the rulers.

Anna Hazare said, “Keeping in mind the need to strengthen farmers organisations, I decided to start nationwide tour for one and half years and sit for satyagraha before Lok Sabha polls at Ramleela Maidan, New Delhi.”

Anna Hazare was sharing his views with media after receiving the important award of “Basava Krushi” (agricultural award named after 12th century social reformer Basaveshwara), instituted by ‘Kudalasangama Lingayat Panchamasali Mahapeeth’ in Bagalkot.

Anna Hazare said, “I will tour in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Panjab and Karnataka and start agitation by organising farmers community.”
