Asia gets fastest Data Cable Link from Tokyo to Singapore

According to fresh reports the new 7800km undersea data cable has opened to traffic in Asia. It is said that the high speed Asia Submarine-cable Express (ASE) transfers data with the help of a fiber system with a speed of 40 gigabits per second.

The Asia Submarine-cable Express connects Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippine.

It is also said that fiber system service is three milliseconds faster as compared to any other cable between Japan and Singapore.

The path of the cable was chose as straight as possible, which minimizes the time of data to transfer from one end to another to 65 milliseconds.

The speed of transfer of data of 40 gigabits per second means downloading a high-resolution DVD in about 2 seconds.

The new web service will put a web of undersea cables in the waters around Japan.

The path includes one operates by Australian operator Telstra International, Taiwan’s largest phone operator Chunghwa Telecom, as well as the international telecommunications service provider Pacnet, located in Singapore and Hong Kong.
