Bharatiya Janata Party has in depth with unease and new twist over Next President elevation.
Current BJP President Nitin Gadkari is the top most campaigners who seek to resume a second consecutive term as BJP President.
As Gadkari’s name for BJP President has been backed by RSS and some party leaders, but twist come as and when BJP senior leader LK Advani on Saturday suggested Sushma Swaraj’s name for the post.
Gadkari is a frontrunner for post, RSS said in a statement, strong appeal for Gadkari’s re-nomination.
However, as an alternative candidate, RSS named Rajnath to the disgruntled section led by L K Advani, reports said.
Advani has strongly opposed former president Rajnath’s name for post and suggested Sushma Swaraj against him.
But Sushma ruled herself out of the race against Gadkari who is facing charges of corruption and impropriety in business dealings.
BJP will issue a notification tomorrow for getting the nominations from candidates for Presidential elections and Gadkari is all set to submit his nomination for the top organizational post.
