Yash Chopra 150x150 Bollywood Filmmaker Yash Chopra Passes AwayThe Sunday has ended with a very bad news for the Indian Cinema and millions of fans of Bollywood film. The veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra is no more, he was undergoing treatment for dengue at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

The Bollywood filmmaker was 80-years-old and was admitted to the hospital last Saturday.

Yash Chopra had been busy shooting for his last film with actors Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, which is set to release on this Diwali, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

Meanwhile, Yash Chopra will be always remembered in the Bolylwood for his super hit films like “Daag”, “Kabhie Kabhie”, “Silsila”, “Chandni” and “Lamhe” and action dramas like “Deewar” and “Trishul”.

Yash Chopra was born 27 September 1932.

Yash Chopra had been directing the film after eight long year. He last directed ‘Veer-Zarra’ with Shahrukh Khan.

He had already announced that ‘Jab Tak hai Jaan’ will be his last film as a director. The music in the film was given by Mozart of Madras A.R. Rahman and Gulzar has penned the lyrics.

Yash Chopra started his Bollywood career as an assistant director to I.S. Johar and his elder brother, B.R. Chopra.

He first directed film in 1959 ‘Dhool Ka Phool’. He then came with a super hit film in 1961 named Dharmputra.
