Britain to send Military Aircraft to Aid French in Mali

Backing with French air power, Mali has become stronger to wash out the Islamist rebels in the centre of the country.

Britain announced to assist military aircraft support, increasing Mali troops power with foreign troops assistance to set operations Islamist forces.

Fearing amid Islamist reprisals attacks, reports said that French President Francois Hollande called high alert at the country as French forces bombarded on militants in Mali, also raising France’s domestic terror threat level.

As per reports, more than 120 people have killed in Mali during Islamist- Malian escalation.

If further added that one French pilot Damien Boiteux was killed in Mali operations and more than 10 of Mali government soldiers.

Hundreds of French troops and aircraft have been sent to front line at three locations in the centre of Mali, code-named “Serval” after a sub-Saharan wildcat, source said.

In just 24 hours, French forces succeeded in dispersing the Islamists from Konna, the town the fighters had seized in a bold advance earlier in the week, France’s defence minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian said in a statement.

The Islamists claim to have sleeper cells in all of the West African nations.

Meanwhile, situation in Mali is going to worsen as well as serious in the last few days, complicating the position of the hostage in Somalia. The Islamists rebels reported to be used arms which have stolen from ex-Libyan chief Moammar Gadhafi’s arsenal.
