CNG Price hiked in national capital, effect from midnight

Metropolitans have faced hike price of CNG fuel as the government increased price in the national capital by Rs 1.55 per kg to Rs 39.90.

Compressed Natural Gas price move is followed hike in the consumer price of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad by rise of Rs 1.80 per kg.

The rates will be implemented from midnight tonight.

It has been said that the major reason to raise the price of CNG by oil companies is due to increased input gas cost and related taxes which is 4% in revised price.

Meanwhile, consumers have to pay Rs 39.90 for per kg CNG in Delhi, while in NCR towns, it would be Rs 45.10.

CNG hike would have minor impact on the per km running cost of vehicles, Indraprastha Gas Ltd told reporters.
