London Olympics 2012: Saina No. 1 Indian ace to reach semis

Today is the historical day for India as top badminton ace Saina Nehwal warmed the challenge of Tina Baun of Denmark 21-15, 22-20 and became the No.1 Indian shuttler to reach the semi-final of the Olympics in the women’s singles badminton event.

Reports said, in a 39-minute match at the Wembley Areana, Saina fought hard against the two-time All England Champion Tine, who matched her strokes but was defeated.

SBI 150x150 SBI revises retail lending ratesGood news for home loaners, India’s top lender State Bank of India recently announced to relief in retail rates with cut by up to 50 basis points, 0.25-0.60 %.

As per SBI revised plan, Car loans above Rs. 75 lakh will be charged 10.40% interest rates from existing 11.25%, while Home Loans of Rs. 30 lakh- Rs. 75 lakh will be charged to 10.40%, from 10.75%.
People who lend money upto Rs. 30 lakh will now pay interest with 10.25% from current 10.50%.

Now, in the Olympic badminton competition, Saina has reached into the quarterfinals of the badminton women’s singles of London Olympic at the Wembley Arena on Wednesday.
