Targeting SUV car segment, Maruti Suzuki make a blasting entry in Indian auto market with its all new ever best selling model Alto new version, Alto 800 which will be launching on October 16.

Just few days before launch, Maruti Alto 800 has recorded highest pre launch bookings in advance which are over 6500, indicating 10,000 orders ahead of launch of India’s largest car maker. The Car is coming in two variants- Petrol and CNG, specially targeting middle customers seeking to turns CNG line as due to hike petrol and diesel price rate in country.

Priyanka in Yash Raj’s upcoming film ‘Gunday’

The hot Bollwood actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently thrilled everyone with her remarkable performance in ‘Barfi’, will now hare the screen with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in Yash Raj Film’s upcoming film ‘Gunday’.

The film will be directed by the same director who earlier directed ‘Mere Brother ki Dulhan’, Ali Abbas Zafar.

Sources said that Priyanka Chopra’s name for the film is final now. And, an official from Yash Raj Films also confirmed the news, but no details were given.

Five Royal UK marines charged with murder in Afghan

The British Ministry of Defence announced that five UK Royal Marines among nine marines have been arrested with charge of murder over insurgent’s death in Afghanistan in 2011.

Five Royal Marines are the first British troops arrested under murder charges in the country during the Afghanistan conflict arising from 2001, and now at that time when 9,500 deploying troops are expected to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014.

Malala Yousafzai Case: Pakistani police arrests 3 brothers of Taliban commander

Taking immediate charge over the shooting school girl young right activist Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani security agencies have arrested three brothers of a senior Taliban commander from Swat Valley.

Pakistani Swat Police chief Gul Afzal Khan Afridi who had recently made statement to hit out essential steps in form of raid in wake of arresting three other men in connection of the attack on 14-year-old Malala.

As per reports during raid on Swat, three suspects were arrested in Nowshera district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and now are in custody of Pak police for questioning, while location is not disclosed.

BCCI brings tender for new IPL franchise

The BCCI has today revealed a tender to look out for a new IPL team after the termination of Deccan Chargers from the Indian Premier League [IPL].

In an advertisement published in a leading newspaper, the BCCI said, “Under this invitation to tender, the winning bidder will be granted the right to own and operate a new team, which will compete in the IPL in each year from and including 2013 onwards, and will have the opportunity (if applicable and subject to qualification) to compete in each and any CLT20 which is staged from 2013 onwards.”
