Delhi gang-rape case: Girl stable, still on ventilator; protests continue

According to latest news, the 23-years-old girl, victim of a gang rape and assault in the national capital on last Sunday night, is stable and conscious. The deceleration was made by the doctors who are attending the girl.

Though, the girl is not out of danger and her health is critical. She is on ventilator and serious infection in her abdomen and the amount of blood loss are among the primary concerns of the doctors.

Talking to media about her health, doctors said that her platelet count too has been diminishing, but doctors lauded her spirit and said that she is a fighter.

In the meantime, the male friend of the girl identified Mukesh, on of the accused, during the TIP at Tihar jail on Thursday.

Further, the samples and evidences gathered from the bus were sent to the forensic lab for further examination.

In addition, Delhi Police will submit their status report on the case to the High Court on Friday. Number of social organizations are suppose to put protest in New Delhi on Friday.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party will hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in the afternoon.

Earlier on Thursday, a group of students met Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit and presented their petition demanding justice for the victim. In a statement issued by the Dlehi Chief Minister’s office, said, “Any girl who feels she’s in trouble can call that number and she’ll be given assistance. Also the nearest police station will be informed of her whereabouts”
