On Monday, Delhi Police filed four cases against the mob who turned violent during the protests over the Dlehi gangrape of 23-years-old girl on 16 Dec night in a moving bus in the national capital.
Meanwhile, one of the cases was filed against former Army Chief VK Singh and yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
It is said in reports that VK Singh and Baba Ramdev have been booked by the Delhi Police under charges of rioting and causing damage to public property.
The cases were filed after the Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said on Sunday that some political elements were behind the violence at India gate. He said, “We have information that some political elements were behind the violence. We are enquiring into it.”
The protest was lead at Jantar Mantar by VK Singh and baba Ramdev on Sunday afternoon when police stopped them from marching towards India gate.
As soon as Baba Ramdev and VK Singh got down from the dais, police cordoned off the area and the protesters sat at the spot.
Later, protesters led by VK Singh and Baba Ramdev had clashed with Delhi Police at Jantar Mantar.
