Dhoni should not lead in all three formats: Wasim Akram

In a recent interview, former Pakistani captain and fast bowler Wasim Akram said that Indian Captian MS Dhoni must ask himself whether he should lead team India in all three forms of cricket or not.

The former Pakistani captain wrote in his column, “I am not surprised that questions are being raised about Dhoni’s leadership skills after India failed to reach the semis of the ICC World T20. Perhaps Dhoni should take some time out and assess himself as a captain.”

He added that there should be extra pressure on MS Dhoni is he leads all the three formats of cricket.

He said, “I really think if he drops captaincy in one of the formats then he will be able to focus and enjoy his game more.”

Wasim Akram has played 502 ODIs and 414 Test matches for his country.

Further, the cricketer feels that youngster Virat Kohli should be rushed into the race of Indian captain.
