‘Ek Tha Tiger’ earns Rs 258 cr, will be release in Japan in 2013

The super hit film of 2012, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ released on 15 August, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead role, is still earning minting money.

Meanwhile, the film had earned Rs 199.3 crore in India and Rs 59.63 crore in abroad.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently tweets, “2012 is significant year for YRF. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ Worldwide business Rs 258.93 cr + JTHJ Worldwide business Rs 150.41 cr [still counting] = Rs 409.34 cr.”

Now, actor Salman Khan has many Rs 100 crore films under his belt. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ earned Rs 32 crore on the opening day and in just five days the film has crossed the mark of rs 100 crore.

However, Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is still far behind Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ which earned Rs 385 crore worldwide till February 2012.

Further, Taran Adarsh tweets that ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will release in Japan along with the subtitles in January next year.
