Cheteshwar Pujara 150x150 India England 2nd Test Match 2012: Pujara, Ashwin saves IndiaThe in-form opener from the Indian cricket team Cheteshwar Pujara has once again saved team India at crucial time. He was well supported by bowler-batsman R Ashwin, on the first day of the 2nd Test match against England played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Earlier, Pujara has made a super unbeaten 206* and 41* in the first Test match against England.

Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss, but that did not worked much for team India. India lost opener Gautam Gambhir int eh very first over of the match.

The England captain today included two spinner, Graeme Swann and Monty Panesar in his team. Monty Panesar bowled superbly and took four important wickets including Sehwag, Tendulkar and captain Dhoni.

India lost six wickets with just 169 runs on the board, when Panesar took Dhoni’s wickets on 29 runs.

Today was a special day for opener Virender Sehwag, as he was playing his 100th Test match. But the cricketer was not able to make it more special as he was out on just 30 runs.

Till the end of the day 1, Cheteshwar Pujara was unbeaten on 114 runs and R Ashwin was unbeaten on 60 runs.
