As per latest Bollywood buzz, the Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has signed newcomer Alia Bhatt for his upcoming film, 2 States.

The film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel. Meanwhile, reports have said that filmmaker Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala had even called the Alia Bhatt for a screen test to check if she looked good or not.

Alia Bhatt is making her debut in Bollywood with her film with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year [SOTY], in ‘2 States’ Aila Bhatt will be opposite Arjun Kapoor.

Talking to media, a source said, “KJo will make an official announcement about Alia being in 2 States only after SOTY hits theatres..”

Further, it is said that KJo is quite happy with working Alia Bhatt in SOTY and loved her acting skills. Source said, “She seems to be a bundle of talent. Which is why KJo is backing her.”

Moreover, ‘2 States’ is a film of a north Indian boy who falls in love with a south Indian girl and how their culture starts affecting their life, this is story.

Abhishek Verman will be the director of the film, who earlier was the creative director in Alia’s debut film, Student Of The Year.
