Former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa to attend BJP National Executive

Following the patch up of party president Nitin Gadkari with Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Singh Modi, former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa recently announced to go to Mumbai for being part of the concluding session of the BJP National Executive meeting on Friday.

At the moment when Gadkari will get a second term on his post, Yeddyurappa, earlier decided to skip the meet apparently upset over his removal from the chief minister’s post following graft charges, wants to attend the meet to congratulate him.

“I am leaving for Mumbai to greet Nitin Gadkari on his re-election as the party President for the second successive term”, Yeddyurappa told reporters.

Further adding, the minister said, “He has stood with me like a stone in every situation, so I must go and meet him.”

However, if any one behind Yeddyurappa’s move to go for attending the meet, is his party top leaders including Gadkari and Arun Jaitely who persuaded him to take part in the executive.

It has been said that one major reason of Lingayat leader to be presented in meet is that along with other issues, BJP will also discuss Karnataka party affairs.

Recently Lingayat leader stated that he had not attended the meet as being upset with the party leadership to exit him from his position following alleged illegal mining.

Yeddyruppa has continued to attack the current chief minister and his successor DV Sadananda Gowda accusing his government of taking “double role” in filing replies to the Central Empowered Committee on the role of three former chief ministers SM Krishna, N Dharam Singh and HD Kumaraswamy in alleged illegal mining, source said.

With demand to outskirt the Gowda, Yeddyruppa stated a statement of his willing to enter the party, he said, “I will brief the party about the developments of last few days, and I will work in the state to make the party stronger.”

Moreover, BJP leaders are now seeking a strategy to downing their rivals as yesterday after his rival Sanjay Joshi resigned from his post; Mr. Modi agreed to come in the exclusive by resolving all the differences with Gadkari.
