Google honours Delhi Braveheart, lights a candle

Paying a tribute to the braveheart, 23-year-old Delhi gang-rape victim, Google has placed a subtle vigil candle below its search box on homepage.

Google doodles that always seen as Google logo, has placed a glowing candle right below the search box Google that shows an honour to the braveheart and her family.

As one moves cursor over candle, the text appears and reads, “In memory of the Delhi braveheart.”

In moving gesture, Google has joined the entire nation in mourning the victim’s death as well as nationwide outcry to protest demanding her justice with hard law against the sexual violence.

One day ahead, Google India had shared the message on the Google Plus post that reads, “Saluting the courage and fortitude of the Delhi brave heart. Our humble tribute.”

The 23 year old young physiotherapy intern lost her battle 13 days after succumbed to her injuries at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on 29 December. The victim was gangraped and brutally assaulted by six men in a moving bus in Delhi.
