Taking grip on Microsoft upcoming Window Phone 8, HTC tech giant introduced its latest two new Windows smartphones with various stylish color options, competing against Samsung and Nokia, already OS supporting dominates.
The name of HTC latest Smartphones are uses as Microsoft Window 8, indicating real Window Phones- HTC 8X and 8S. Still no details about their pricing, but while launching the two phones at an event in New York today, it seems that HTC has more focused on 8X, one of the high end device, supporting high features than 8S, is likely a low cost device.
The company said that 8X is its flagship device which comes with a large 4.3 inch touch screen with 720p Super LCD 2 display, is powered by 1.5 gigahertz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor and has 1GB DRAM, 16 GB on board storage, but no SD card option.
On otherside, HTC 8S, an affordable Window smartphone features as like its price compare to 8X. The device supports 4-inch Super LCD WVGA display, powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor and has 512MB DRAM, only 4GB storage with expandable option of micro SD slot.
HTC 8X runs on fastest network connections- LTE- offering quick access of internet with next generation technology with Beats audio technology and would sell by Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, while 8S features 2.4GHz WiFi connection. In camera features, 8X offers an 8-megapixel camera with an HTC ImageChip, 2.1 MP front-facing camera for video chatting with noise reducing features and NFC, while 8S comes with a 5MP f/2.8 camera.
“Consumers are going to love these phones, and we’re committed to reaching them in a manner that’s clear and direct,” Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer told reports.
Moreover, The Company will unveil its Window Phone Smartphones till Novembers in the worldwide market to give toughest competition to its rivals, especially Nokia Lumia as it resembles with it.
