India England 2nd ODI: India won by 127 runs, Ravindra Jadeja Shines

Indian cricket team has registered a superb win over England in the 2nd ODI played at Nehru Stadium, Kochi. Team India won the match by 127 runs with the last wickets taken by R Ashwin.

Earlier, Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Indian openers once again failed to give good start to their team and at one stage India was 18 for 2 wickets.

Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli tried to save the innings but both the players lost their wickets in mid-30s. Yuvraj and Kohli made 32 runs and 37 runs , respectively.

Later, captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina once again saved Indian innings, Raina made fine 55 runs. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja together made 108 runs in the last 10 overs of the innings. MS Dhoni made quickfire 72 runs from 66 balls with seven fours and two huge sixes.

And, the hero of the Indian innings was Ravendra Jadeja making 61 runs from just 37 balls hitting 8 fours and two sixes. India made 285 runs in 50-overs.

Batting second, England never looked in the form of win. They lost wickets at regular interval. Newcomer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shami Ahmed bowled good opening spell.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical bowler taking three important wickets in 10 overs giving away just 29 runs. Ravendra Jadeja also bowled economically with 7 overs for just 12 runs and talking two important wickets.

R Ashwin also bowled nicely taking three wickets. Now, the five match series is level 1-1.
