India vs Pakistan 2nd ODI: India play for Pride against Pakistan

Lost the opening match in the three match ODI series against Pakistan, Team India is looking forward to win the 2nd ODI played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on January 3, 2013.

However, India lost the 1st ODI against Pakistan by 6 wickets but decided to give the net practice a skip while their opponents were sweating out for the upcoming contest at Eden Gardens on Tuesday.

Eight Team India cricketers arrived in Kolkata on Tuesday afternoon and hence they missed the practice session. Junai Khan os Pakistan was the pick of the bowlers in the opening match as none of the top order from India managed to score double figures.

Middle–order batsman Virat Kohli who suffered foot injury in the 1st match would be available for the second ODI, MS Dhoni said on Wednesday.

MS Dhoni said, “Virat is available for selection for tomorrow’s match.”

Meanwhile, Kohli suffered a foot injury in the 41st over of the match and was out of the ground, Suresh Raina completed his over.

On the other hand, Team Pakistan is quite strong and captain Misbah-ul-Haq is satisfied with the bowling and batting department. Junaid Khan, Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Irfan are the key bowlers for them and Nasir Jamshed’s batting would be matter of concern for Team India.
